The Vandal Resistant GSM is manufactured from brushed stainless steel (2.5mm thick) and is available in the vandal resistant 4000 series modular range (including a nameplate version VR4KGSM-1NP) and also the VR120 series and bespoke vandal resistant series.
Vandal Resistant GSM audiokits are available for single call button applications up to 12 button kits (expandable up to 24 buttons when combined with VR4K series button expansion modules) and all have the facility to divert to additional numbers if the first is busy or unanswered (1 primary and 3 divert numbers).
The audiokits have all the original features of the previous GSMVRK series kits and now include new programming features such as: programming a primary number and 3 divert numbers in a single text, programming multiple dial to open numbers (up to 5 max.) in a single text, 10 access control timebands, 10 free access timebands and access level assignment (up to 10).
Programming can be carried out by SMS text messaging or via a PC using the GSMSK software (connected via the micro USB port) or by using Videx’s new smartphone SMS wizard App. The App is available to download for free from Google Play (for android devices) or from the App. Store (for iOS devices). The GSM intercom includes an exit button input, auxiliary input and output, dry contact relay (C, NO and NC) and can be powered using 12Vdc.
In addition the vandal resistant GSM intercom includes an off-board proximity access control input to allow for a Wiegand proximity reader (VR4KPPM) to be connected should proximity access be required for an installation (for up to 1000 users).
Call progress can be followed on the three call progress LED’s (speak, busy and door open). In addition the facility to connect the display interface module (VR4KDM) is included to work along side the call progress LED’s by offering both voice annunciation and call progress indication on the 2 line, 16 character LCD display.
An event log (up to 4000 stored events) is maintained within the GSM module and can be downloaded via the USB port using the PC software which includes many features to simplify the installation and programming process.
