What does myQ do?

Remote monitoring & operation

Open, close, and monitor your gate or garage door anywhere in the world via the iOS or Android app, as long as you have an active internet connection.

Get real-time alerts

The myQ gateway monitors your gate or garage door at all times and sends notifications straight to your smartphone.

Get alerts:

• Whenever the gate or garage door opens and closes, to keep track of daily comings and goings
  
• If you left the garage door open when you left the house
  
• If the garage door has been left open for a specified amount of time

Check whether your gate or garage door is open or closed

Quickly and easily find out if you left the gate or garage door open, leaving you with less time worrying, and more time relaxing.

Share access to your garage or home

• Allow full access for two co-owners and limited access for up to five guests, using myQ Guest features. Each user can even have their own settings, and access can be revoked when it’s no longer needed.
  
• Allow access to your home remotely - let friends and family into your property when you’re not around, or temporarily allow access to delivery drivers or couriers when you’re out. Then use the myQ app to check whether they’ve closed the garage door when they left.
  
• Set schedules to automatically open your gate or garage door at specified times. Set the front gate and garage to open in the morning before you leave.
  

 

 

How does it work?

1. Get the kit – the myQ system requires the myQ Starter Kit or myQ Internet Gateway
2. Create a connection - Connect the internet gateway and your router with the supplied network cable, then connect the Internet gateway to the power supply. When the Internet gateway has connected to the Internet, a green LED on the device will light up permanently
3. Download the Free myQ app - The myQ App is available for free in the App Store and Google Play Store.
4. Create an account - Create an account in the myQ app.
5. Register your gateway - Enter your Internet gateway’s serial number (located on the bottom of the device) in the myQ app

Please Note: The myQ system can only be used with myQ compatible gate / garage door openers. Garage doors utilising myQ can only be closed if a pair of photocells (optional accessory) are installed. For safety reasons, photocells are mandatory.
