IP CCTV Systems have many benefits to older CCTV systems. An IP CCTV can connect to the NVR using only 1 CAT5 cable, this cable can send over audio, video, data and can also be powered by the NVR if the NVR has integrated PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports.
IP CCTV is flexible, so if you do not wish to run all cables directly to the NVR, you can connect the IP Cameras to your own Local Area Network anywhere that there is a PoE Network Switch connected to the same network as the NVR and Internet.
For example, you could have your NVR in one part of the house or commercial property connected to your router, then you could use Power-line adaptors to extend your network around the building. Then any area you would like to have IP Cameras, you would just need to connect a PoE Network Switch into a power-line adaptor plugged into a mains socket and connect your IP Cameras directly to that network switch. This could drastically reduce cabling.
IP Cameras are HD and above, the 4 megapixel cameras we offer have a resolution of 2592 x 1520 which is 30% greater than 1080P.
Modern IP NVR systems can be viewed on mobile phones via the internet so you can see the images from anywhere in the world. Other features include being able to backup data using a USB Stick or USB HDD and being able to send notifications and alarms over e-mail.
